Thankyou to the ladies for your beautiful entries and Congratulations to Cara Riley who was the winner of the January Challenge pack. Cara has captured a stunning layout using all elements from the pack. Cara please contact the store to redeem your $20 voucher.  Ladies the entries are all up in the class room for you to look at. February challenge packs are now available at the front counter and only $10.

What’s New

So many new goodies this month from the Disney Frozen pads right through to two ranges “ Sugar and Spice” and “Flying High” by Cocoa Vanilla Studios together with 3 new  ranges by Kaiser, Echo Park, Simple Stories and many more. Card Makers Corner is up and running in the area near the front counter and has been very well received by the card making ladies. The new pre packed gate fold and tri fold cards are very popular, so too are the new stamps. Christmas has been re shelved back in the Seasonal section and the wall has been replaced with “Back to School” ready for you to scrap all those 1st day of school photos that we have seen posted on Facebook.
 

 Bazzill Shipment Delayed

Ladies please note that our supplier of Bazzill has advised us of yet another delay regarding out Bazzill order. The goods have been held up in a shipping dispute and the order that was due last November is now due at the end of March. We still have loads of colours on the big colour wall however we are light on reds, blacks, beiges and whites. Thank you for your patience and understanding as the shipping strike is simply out of our hands.

Tim Holtz NEW Distress Product Pre Order

As you may have heard Tim has released 12 new Distress colours,  one per month over the next 12 months.  January release was Cracked Pistachio and February is Abandoned Coral.  We have pre ordered these products to arrive in store soon so if you would like to secure one of the first batch you can place your pre order with the ladies at the front counter.

Savings or Credit …. That’s the question

Whilst processing an eftpos transaction last week a customer said to me “Savings or Credit it’s all the same”. After explaining to her from a small business perspective it’s actually not she was horrified and has asked me to pass on the information. On top of the fees for having the eftpos machine in store every month we also pay 19 cents for every eftpos savings / cheque transaction and depending on the type of card up to 53 cents per transaction when the credit function is selected even if it’s a debit card. The conversation continued and I said that I understand that people need to select the credit function in order to obtain loyalty points. At this point the lady said that she doesn’t obtain points on her card but has always selected credit because the bank told her to and the reason for this is simple …. they get more money.   

Garage Sale Sunday 1st  March 2015   11am-1pm.

Doors will open at 11am on Sunday 1st March for what is going to be a fantastic day to snap up some great bargains. From dies to paper and all your craft needs it’s a great way to build up your supplies. Ladies remember -a recent study has found that patterned paper gives off certain pheromones that actually hypnotize women to purchase ungodly amounts  (At least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it).  Please remember its cash only on the day and to be paid to the stall holders directly. We ask for your patience as the crowds move through the sale. This sale will be spread out as some stall holders will be on the shop floor as we will be moving the fixtures for the day.

Recycled Bags

A number of customers have returned their large paper bags to be recycled. Thankyou ladies as this is a great idea and if you are asked by the lovely staff if you would mind a recycle bag they are in perfect condition but just a little pre loved.  

VIP Night

The next VIP night is Friday 20th March. Every customer who spends $50 in one transaction between 17th February - 5th March will go into the draw to win a golden ticket to this special event.  Please note entry to this event is by INVITATION ONLY.  The draw will be done by centre management and the 20 lucky customers will be notified by phone by the 7th March.

March 2nd Labour Day  

Save the date and lets all celebrate this public holiday together. Doors will open at 11am and ladies we will scrap our hearts out, bop along to some 80’s classics and enjoy each others company. To secure your table for this day please book to avoid disappointment.

March Calendar

The design team have been very busy putting together a wide variety of projects for March. From cards to mixed media layouts and off the page projects the class wall is beaming with colour. Classes for April are also now going up as the designs are finished. Ladies please remember to book for these classes as soon as possible to avoid disappointment  as class number are limited.
