Thank you and Goodbye

I am not one for words but today the English language hasn't got a word that describes all the emotions going on inside me. 'Thank you' just doesn't cover what I am feeling. The past 5 years have been the hardest and most rewarding journey of my life. I have grown so much and learnt so much as a human being. I am so grateful to each one of you who have supported us all these years. I have met some amazing people, many of whom have become friends. Each one of you have blessed my life.

I thought I would take this chance to show a bit of our journey, through photos (of course).

Exciting News

I have some very exciting/sadish news. I have sold my shop, made with memories to this amazing lovely women, Judy Bacon. Some of you may already know her as she has been a very loyal customer for the past 4 years. I will let you read her message to you all below. 

The decision to sell was not an easy one to make but the past 18 months have been extremely hard for me and my family. While I was on holidays with my family a month ago I was taking stock of all that has gone on and while watching my children I realised that it is 'TIME'. Time for quality family time, Time for a change but basically just TIME. 

BUT do not fear I am disappearing. I am going to still be part of the shop. I am super excited to be able to teach more classes and get back to what I love the most, CREATING!!

The shop under my management will cease trading on Saturday 29th June at 10pm. Please note that by this time

• Lay-bys must be paid out and collected
• Gift Vouchers must be redeemed
• Loyalty cards must also be redeemed and will not be valid after Saturday 29th June 2013

I have had many enquiries about classes in June 2013. The calendar is down to the bare bones. Here are the classes below:

• Canvas Art with Helen: Saturday 8th June 10am-2pm $48
• Old 2 New: Wednesday 12th &26th June 10am-12noon $15 (including $10 of store credit)
• Live, Laugh, Love (Journalling with Sally): Wednesday 19th June 10am-12noon $18
• Sarah's Card Class: Thursday 27th June 7pm-9pm $22
• Sarah's Card Class: Friday 28th June 10am-12noon $22
• Friday NIght Crop: Friday 21st June 6pm-Midnight $10
• MEGA SCRAP: Saturday 29th June 9:30am-9:30pm $22

A quick note to those who are booked into Kayleen's MY STORY class. The dates for these classes are staying the same ie. June 15th, 20th, 25th and July 13th, 18th, 30th. Please note that your class need to be paid in full by Saturday 29th June.

Message from the new owners

I am delighted to bring you the news that we have purchased the business and will officially take over the shop 1st July 2013.

A number of you have expressed concerns regarding the change of ownership and possible changes that may occur should a new owner take over.

I am delighted to inform you that I have an invested interest in seeing that the transition is as smooth as possible and welcome your feedback as the process takes place.

The BIG questions surrounding the re opening is change? Will my class still run? Will the trading hours be the same? Will we still get orange cake and brownies at Scrapalicious? It would be unrealistic to expect there not to be change. For over 10 years I have dreamed of having a craft shop and have given a great deal of thought to the business. A very lengthy detailed 5 year business plan has been prepared detailing my ambitions to include improvements. Without spoiling all the surprises  here are a couple that I am planning, Donna Downey will still be visiting us on August 30th-31st, also meetings have already occurred regarding exciting additions such as a Photo Kiosk in store along with photography classes. If your not excited by now how about our very own "Made with Memories Scrapbook Retreat."

I am by no means a professional crafter but I thoroughly enjoy my hobby and therefore plan to manage the business and leave the designing and teaching to the experts. I am in the process of liaising with staff and I look forward to bringing you the July Class Calendar to you shortly.

We look forward to bringing you a fresh new layout with exciting new classes and a team of staff that will make your time at the shop enjoyable. We plan to help you develop your craft and get the best possible use out of the products you buy. 

There will be new VIP cards and the details of these are being finalised as we speak. At your request there will be a change in trading hours including a trial of Sunday Trading.

We look forward to sharing this journey with you and expanding the business as the craft needs change.
