August & September Classes & New Products

Once again we have jammed packed this month’s class schedule to help you all get up to date on scrapbooking your favourite photos or find time to spend time scrapbooking with your friends.

Attached are the August and September Class Calendars. Please note that September is subject to change but we wanted to make sure you know that dates of your favourite classes.

Our classes ( especially card classes) are booking out fast so please book early to ensure your place. Please phone or email if you have any questions.

We have just had lots of new EK Success punches arrive in store and over the coming weeks lots of new products will be hitting the shelves from the latest releases from the big craft show in America. The latest Sears and Son & Timeless ranges from Kaiser have arrived and we have had a major reshuffle in store so pop in store to see whats new!

We have a few vacancies in our very popular Cricut Pages Class and Cricut Club Days for this month. Cricut Pages is on this Thursday night at 6pm. One vacancy also exists for our Cricut Club Day on the 16th August. Two vacancies are now available in the Tims Tags Technique Class on the Tuesday 14th so if you want to get messy and learn new techniques book now!

Memories ....

It is amazing how fast time is zooming past. Days are turning into weeks. Then the weeks are filling the month before you have even got your head around the fact that another month has started.

Today I wanted to post something a little different for the blog. I have been thinking a lot about why I LOVE scrapbooking/papercrafts so much. 'Life in Design' class has also been on my mind contantly and I have been going through all my photos for the last few months, getting them ready to print and organise onto my pages. During this process I came across this photo.

And it has quickly become one of my favourite photos of the year. It shows my family in our everyday life. We dont normally pose for this kind of photo but my great Aunty was visiting from Adelaide and she asked for a photo.

I would like to share with you WHY this has become one of my favourite photos. This is a typical Monday night. I have just gotten back from bootcamp, Garen and the older boys just got home from basketball (umpiring and playing), the middle 2 kids are in their school uniforms (1 very tired/grumpy and 1 his normal easy going self) and little Miss Millie is just happy to see us all (especially her Daddy).

In years to come this is going to show what real life looks like for our family. It is REAL. Over the past 6-9 months I have been taught a few important lessons about appreciating the important things in life and for me they are in the photo above.

I am the first to admit that I sometimes I wish my life away, normally waiting or counting down to the next big thing that is going to happen. I came across the saying above and it changed instantly how I see the world.

Quite often life doesn't go the way you planned, so make sure you are making each day count.

I hope that we at 'Made with Memories' can help you preserve these memories so that they last a little longer.

Sarah and Anne-Marie in Brisbane ....

Earlier this month I was able to fly to Brisbane with Sarah to attend a special class with Tim Holtz.

It was an amzing experience.

 We both learnt a huge amount.

Which we are going to share with you once a month for the rest of the year.

And while we were in Brisbane I had to introduce Sarah to the other man in my life, Max Brenner!

If you hadn't heard, I am a HUGE fan of chocolate. So this cafe is made for me.

Thankfully I have to fly to the other side of the country to indulge.

We landed at 7am so went and had chocolate for breakfast.

And as always Max didn't disappoint, it was mouth watering yumminess.

We couldn't help ourselves we had to back agin before we flew out for round two.

I would also like to say a BIG 'Thank you' to my sister, Catherine, for being the perfect hostess. Nothing beats the warmth of a home cooked meal, with fantastic company added in.

And 'Thank you' to Sarah for making this trip extra FUN!
